Lewis, J. Patrick. Scien-trickery. New York: Harcourt, 2004. ISBN 978-1428725508
This is a “logical” collection for the “scientific mind” with poetic riddles that engage the mind. (The previous sentence was an accidental rhyme, however, it does add a nice touch to a poetry book review!) Each thought provoking poem has it’s own rhythm and rhyme. The riddle poems are simple and full of quick rhymes to keep young readers engaged. They each have an easy-to-follow, engaging rhythm. The words are put together in a way that enhances, and does not take away from the goal of making science fun and interesting.
